Juan Ricardo Rincón Gaviria
Arquitecto colombiano con posgrado en Creación Multimedia de la Universidad de los Andes en 2008 y maestría en Design Theory and Pedagogy del Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc) en 2018.
Fundó Taller Paralelo Arquitectos en 2010 y desde 2013 ha sido director de la Feria del Millón y curador en jefe de Voltaje Salón de Arte y Tecnología. Ha sido curador de importantes exhibiciones como Sweet Harmony, presentada en la Saatchi Gallery de Londres en 2019, y del proyecto Warehouse en Manchester.
Colombian architect with a postgraduate degree in Multimedia Creation from Universidad de los Andes (2008) and a Master’s in Design Theory and Pedagogy from the Southern California Institute of Architecture, SCI-Arc (2018).
He founded Taller Paralelo Arquitectos in 2010 and has served as director of Feria del Millón since 2013. He has also been chief curator of Voltaje Art and Technology Salon since 2013 and has curated major exhibitions, including Sweet Harmony at the Saatchi Gallery in London in 2019 and the Warehouse project in Manchester.
Durante su carrera fue profesor visitante en la Universidad de Pensilvania entre 2013 y 2016, y profesor en SCI-Arc entre 2018 y 2020, periodo durante el cual desarrolló SCI-Arc Bogotá.
En 2018 presentó una TED Talk sobre industrias creativas. Desde 2025 se desempeña como director artístico de la Bienal Internacional de Arte y Ciudad de Bogotá.
Throughout his career, he was a visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania from 2013 to 2016 and taught at SCI-Arc from 2018 to 2020, during which time he developed SCI-Arc Bogotá.
In 2018, he delivered a TED Talk on creative industries. Since 2025, he has served as artistic director of the International Biennial of Art and City of Bogotá.
